Simon Van Boxtel

Welcome to the website of cellist Eline Hensels. Raised in a musical family, Eline started playing the cello at the age of six. Over the years, she has developed into a versatile musician with a deep love for both solo and chamber music. She has performed in major concert halls such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and has been featured on Dutch national television and radio.

Eline regularly appears at leading festivals, including the Grachtenfestival, Delft Chamber Music Festival, Festival Wonderfeel, the Storioni Festival, and the Schiermonnikoog Festival. In 2020, she made her debut in the Great Hall of the Concertgebouw Amsterdam with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra. She also performed as a soloist in Strauss' Don Quixote with the Dutch Symphony Project. In 2022, she was invited to perform with the South Netherlands Philharmonic for the Dutch Royal Family.

Her talent has been recognized through several national and international awards. She won first prizes at the Princess Christina Competition, as well as both the jury and audience awards at the 2018 Cello Biennale Amsterdam.

In 2023, she released her debut album Nocturne et Lumineux, with music by Koechlin, Bosmans, and Janácek.

The album was nominated for an Edison Award in 2024 in the category ‘Newcomer’.
